Something wonderful is about to happen in Lazio, Italy Anna Paola Ferrara writes to tell me. It is unprecedented, ideal and synergistic, she tells me. I think even those boycotting Italy under the Premiership of the “technically immortal” Silvio Berlusconi can allow themselves a visit to Rome if its an event organised by the regional government of Lazio.
The event enjoys the support of Luxembourgeoise former journalist Viviane Reding (did her absurd “TV without frontiers” internet content regulation plans ever crash and burn in the manner they deserve? I can never recall.)

If anyone thinks I should review my rather sceptical view of her contribution to an idea e-enabled world I’d be delighted to hear from you.

Turns out Sir Bonar’s wife Euphorbia takes a keen interest in Etruscan antiquities. He has therefore asked us for more details about this

New synergies… how exciting!
The Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD) became less bad as it progressed to its enactment, and OFCOM has done its best to limit its impact in the UK. Chris Marsden could give you a detailed update!
