Sad old farts of the MSM get Owen Barder blog closed down

Well done, sad old farts of the MSM. You’ve slagged off and got closed down one of the very few blogs by an official who “gets it” about the new media.

Owen Barder’s openness has been a gift we’ve cherished. The miserable Daily Mail we-hate-anyone-who-thinks-differently-from-us claims his blog is “astonishing” (which it isnt) “has shocked Whitehall” (which it hasnt) and that it’s “sexually explicit” (which it isnt…on the same page the Daily Mail offers a picture of Sharon “basic fanny instinct” Stone (who cares?) “stripped down Britney!” (uhh..who cares??) and a story about an unexpected voyeuristic eyeful of some TV star playing volleyball (who cares???)….They can’t even be bothered to try to pretend they’re anything other than hypocritical halfwits. Oh Lord, forgive them, for they are not even worth criticising.

The Owen Barder blog was all too rare, and guess what, now its closed down it points to a broken Daily Mail link.* tipped off by a Paul Canning comment – thanks Paul
