Why stop at a mere PPS when it’s the PM himself indulging in gratuitous ID-related inaccuracies? He gave a (heavily-debunked) sales pitch on the subject only last week, so I see no possible excuse for this latest one (Thurs 16th, interview).

“… the information is the same information as you have on the passport.”
“This idea that the government is going to be taking people’s individual private confidential information is just not true.”
“…there is no information other than the same information you get in your passport…”
