Well, no-one’s claiming he’s another Richard Allan with the technology but Cameron seems to be able to type, so he’s got that on the incumbent. I wonder if Gordon Brown does spreadsheetss.

Anyway, the team behind this thing seem to have the right mix of gadgets and simplicity – even I can paste this in –

It’ll be interesting to see whether new technologies and techniques can help them deal with the quantity, quality and the sheer length of some submissions.

For me, this initiative is far more interesting than those infantile posters that political parties erect at such vast expense.

They do need to find a way to bypass the very poor quality of political journalism and journalists.

Credit where credit’s due: the real leader in the field for sheer entertainment value has always been the WiddyWeb http://www.annwiddecombemp.com/. Perhaps Ann now needs some help to keep ahead of the field technologically – altho she’s always had (unpublished) feedback options. But even Cameron can’t boast cats, polar bears and adopted goats on his site….

UKIP supporters have registered the .info variant of the WebCameron domain and posted a satirical video on YouTube:

Great fun but does this type of stunt help encourage participation in UK politics?

ps. That UKIP domain is blacklisted on this blog.
