This is a valuable collection, William. We are expecting to be hit with an improved set of “control orders”. The only variable seems to be the speed with which the Labor “opposition” can cave in.

That’s why I’m not disappointed that our government’s enthusiasm for ID cards has gone off the boil, although your UK government’s mishandling is the blame for that. We did have a poor mentally ill woman locked up in migration detention, because she didn’t, and we couldn’t, establish her identity. This imprecision in identification certainly broadens the target range. I’m sure we will be able, under the new powers, to task a programmed officer to take out someone with extreme prejudice, to give another lesson in democracy.

Now, if you at IG would just stop putting forward excuses, we could be making good progress. I don’t know the destination, but I trust our government to tell us just what we need to know, no more and no less. :bug:
